error power core compact adapter firewire>thunderbolt

I'm trying to install a compact powercore on an iMac with Thunderbolt adapter input and gives me the following error.
anyone know if the card is compatible with FireWire> thunderbolt adapter? thanks

Updating firmware of firewire powercores ?

Hi,

Because of problems of multiple powercore units in one system I thinked that what would be if could update the firmware of the 1.7.0 version powercore to 1.9.5 ?

What kind of chip is it stored ?
I have 1.7.0 and 1.9.0 also, so reading the firmware and copy it to an empty chip (or directly to original chip if it's writeable)  maybe possbile.

(as we did old times with S3 graph card vs. Diamond :-)

What do you think ?

It works fine. Installing for 10 minutes. MacOSX 10.10.5.

New MacPro +iMac 27-inch, Late 2013 no problems.
for 64 bit : Sound Radix 32 Lives.
Logic Pro X
Driver : PowerCoreInstaller4.4.1f51
Commands for terminal :
    1.    sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"
    2.    sudo kextcache -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions
    3.Restart.   (everything is ready)

Powercore plugins stopped working, event viewer pop up with errors

Greetings, I'm running a Powercore x8 with v4.4.3 software under Windows 7 64-bit. It has been working flawlessly without problems for years. Suddenly since a couple of days ago I can't load any of the powercore plugins regardless of host. They open disabled and at the same time Windows "event Viewer" is brought to front and showing errors.

I haven't done any changes to the system around when the problem occured. Looking at the "Event Viewer" logs the problem appeard on March 27. My system had made a system restore point just Before the "Daylight saving time change", and since then Powercore stopped working.

I've tried re-installing the powercore software without luck. The Powercore Control Panel is working as normal showing Connection to my x8 hardware and available plugins, but plugins just don't load correctly.

I've connected the Powercore x8 hardware to an older computer where I ran the Powercore system before, and it works there still, plugins load as they should, so it does not seem to be any hardware error with my x8.

I've tried Everything I can Think of from trying different Firewire drivers, trying older versions of the powercore software. Is there anybody that have had a similar problem and solved it? Appreciate any suggestions for a solution or to what might have happened.

Error messages from the event viewer logs on my main studio computer:

"Virus PowerCore    Internal Error [E0000002] occured.    If the problem persists, please contact TC Support."

"PowerCore/X8s: msg:400001f(proc:0) result:e0000002(proc:0)

POCO X8 For sale

I have a POCO X8 for sale. I've been using it for years now on an old Macbook Pro and since the beginning of this year on my 2015 Mac mini. I am however moving to a hardware studio and have no need for the POCO anymore. The unit has always been in my smoke free studio and is in pristine condition, only very minor scratches from the rack screws.

I am located in the US (Houston, TX). The unit is however european and thus has a european plug. Since the unit works on 100 - 240 V, only an adapter is required for it to work anywhere in the world.

I am asking $600 for the X8.

I also have the Sonox Oxford EQ and Dynamics plugins available for it. These can be bought together for $100, including iLok dongle if required.

Shipping is to be paid by the buyer. Will only ship once payment has been received in full, preferable via paypal.

D-Coder Update

I have the original D-Coder CD (Version 1.0), which only works with Powercore Software until Version 1.8
Apparently it is no longer possible to get the D-Coder update (Version 1.1). Were there any changes/bugfixes or is the update basically the same plugin except being able to load it under Powercore 1.8 and higher?

Problem with NonLine2

Hello guys!
Today I tried to use TcPowercore plugins in 24 bit 96KHz and I got a  problem just with   NonLine2 it doesn't work at all. I'm  using Tc PowerCore FireWire, DAW Samplitude ProXSuite2, Windows 10 - 64 bit, it all work through Samplitude's bridge. And interesting that in 44.1 KHz  everything  worked good.

Any Ideas?

VST spikes causing audio drop and freeze during mixdown

Hello,

While working on a project in Cubase 8.5 with VTS plug-ins from PowerCore Compact (http://www.tcelectronic.com/powercore-compact/) connected to PC via Digitus DS-30201-3 PCI-E fire wire card and HDSP 9652 PCI sound card  every approximately 3 minutes audio stops, and Cubase starts to behave strangely (permanent spike on VST monitor occurs). I have to restart Cubase to work on a project... for another passionate 3 minutes.

There is also problem when VST plug-ins are attached to project during mixdown to mp3. Progress freezes at random percentage and i have to kill Cubase in Windows task manager.

I'm desperate to find solution. I'm unable to work so far...

The Magma chassis works fine - I did have 4 cards running in the chassis with no problems. I just have to make sure and switch it on a second before I switch on my PC so that it gets recognised.  Becomes second nature after a few days!

I will miss a few of the Powercore plugins. In particular the Novation V-Station, which, to my ears at least, sounds absolutely beautiful and has a GUI that is a real joy to program.  I have pretty much decided to go for an X99 motherboard based PC which does not have any PCI slots.  I want to run loads of plugins!!  So no go for my Powercores.  I have been contemplating going for a lower spec PC with an ASUS Z97-A motherboard, which has 2 PCI slots, just so that I do not loose my Powercore V-Station.  Of course, the Virus does sound rather nice aswell!  But I have decided that I must bite the bullet and give up on my Powercores - I could buy a few secondhand PCIE Powercores but, to be honest, I do not want the worry and hassle of losing my Powercore plugins because TC Electronics cannot/will not provide me with replacement licenses in the future.
