PoCo *Seems* to be overloading Logic (and general queries)
Hi All, (edited to add and number queries)
Having spent some time now using PoCo and Logic X with Terminal hack, im over all happy, but there are some niggles, that are turning into a pain in the ass and *seem* to be getting worse (although i am working on more complex projects these days)!
1) there is some GUI bugs, like dragging around the page, leaving the menu window behind! but nothing i cant deal with. if there is a solution to this though, id like to know.
2) Also, automation is majorly laggy. any one else seen this?
3) sometimes when loading a project I get error messages re. too many plugs running, but it was waorking last time i closed it.
4) Sometime when i open a project, the playhead moves but no sound, this can be fixed by bypassing TC plugs. other times i hear a crackly/glitchy mess and/or tones When i close and re open it plays again!
5) I keep getting system overload messages with relatively low usage (during a mastering project for example) and my Logic usage meter shows all cores and threads at max. bypass my Poco plugs and the meter reads virtually no CPU usage. It wasn't doing this a few months ago and im not sure im doing anything different.
I have tried playing with the PoCo settings, but I notice no change.
quite often turning the PoCo off and on again helps with 3, 4 and 5 too....
Anyone experiencing any of these?

Powercore and Parallels on MAC or VE Pro
Hi,
Does anybody have any experience with running a FireWire powercore on a Mac but with the windows based files via either Parallels or VE Pro on a networked PC?
Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?

Powercore firewire (alt) absturz unter windows 7 64
Hallo,
ich benutze einen dell laptop latitude e6510 (8GB RAM, Intel CoreTM i7-620M 2.66GHz) mit kleinem firewire anschluss (gerätemanager info: ohci-konformer ricoh 1394 controller), windows 7/64 prof.
Ich recorde nur akustischen flügel und vocals, alles sehr überschaubar (max acht laufende spuren mit 96kHz) und mein cubase lief in verbindung mit dem rme fireface 800 an dem kleinen firewire anschluss einwandfrei.
Habe mir nun letztens eine altes tc powercore firewire zugelegt. Weil das fireface nur einen firwire 400 anschluss und zwei firewire 800 anschlüsse hat, muss ich nun vom rechner in die powercore und DANN ins rme.
Resultat: Absturz nach wenigen minuten.
Habe mir dann eine express card mit zwei firewire anschlüssen von de-lock gekauft (modell 61387 mit TI-chipsatz, das gibts wohl nicht mehr?) und beide geräte da angeschlossen. Aber auch da: absturz nach wenigen minuten, meist übelst mit blue-screen. Die variante, ein gerät über die express card und das andere direkt über die firewire schnittstelle des laptops bringen auch nichts - über kurz oder lang absturz.
Manchmal bluescreen, mindestens aber sind die powercore-plug ins dann "disabled".
Wo liegt der fehler?
Ach ja, lacht nicht: Ich benutze eine alte cubase version SX 3, die für meine belange völlig reicht und völlig stabil läuft mit meinem fireface 800. Ich wechsle nicht, weil so alles an alten recordings jederzeit komplett kompatibel bleibt. Da diese cubase-version eh aus der zeit des powercore firewire stammt, könnte es da am wenigsten kompatabilitätsprobleme geben. Ich glaube, der fehler liegt im rechner...
Bin für anregung dankbar, wo ich suchen könnte, bitte berücksichtigt dabei: ich bin nicht gerade ein it-freak... VIELEN DANK!!!

This just started happening a few days ago. I'm not sure why. I'm only using the Powercore for my Access Virus/Virus Multi-out. I've tried installing/reinstalling/uninstalling/etc.

We are privately using PowerCore in our Studios and we want to keep it that way. Therefor the PowerCore drivers are adapted to build using latest software technologies and libraries, following all the changes required to keep PowerCore compatible with current operating systems.
We wanted to share that effort with the community but have to advice that this release is not maintained by TC. Please don't bother support if anything is not working! TC is not involved in any of the development anymore. TC kindly offered this place for sharing.

Some hints to make a successful installation:
Supported OS versions are OSX 10.8.3 and later (with 64bit kernel) and Windows 7 and later (with 32bit and 64bit kernel)
Windows: Please ensure that you have recently updated your system (otherwise certificates needed to check if the driver is correctly signed could be outdated leading to "device cannot start").
All PowerCore Firewire versions are supported, PCIe, PCI MkII and Classic PowerCore PCI are supported.
Known issues:
PowerCore/PCIe and PCI MkII do not work with Apples thunderbolt update to the PCIFamily.kext included in OSX 10.8.4 and later
